The Funding Network will hold its first crowdfunding event in Adelaide to help changemakers secure the funding they need to make a difference in their communities.

The Funding Network’s first crowdfunding event in Adelaide will take place on Thursday 14 November in Adelaide CBD.

In partnership with the Don Dunstan Foundation, TFN Live Adelaide will focus on ending homelessness through the Adelaide Zero Project. Macquarie is providing matched funding.

TFN Live is crowdfunding like you’ve never seen it before. In exciting live events, TFN connects people who want to make change with people who are doing it.

TFN would like to hear from grassroots nonprofits addressing issues of homelessness in the community that want to share their story at a friendly “Shark Tank” style event with a room full of potential donors and supporters.

Applications are now open, closing Thursday 15 August.

Download and read the eligibility criteria and advocate guide before applying.

TFN Live Adelaide applicants should ensure they are available for the following dates and times:

  • Phone interview – Wednesday 18 September, 1pm-3pm
  • Pitch coaching workshop in Adelaide – Thursday 24 October, 9am-2pm
  • TFN Live event – Thursday 14 November, 4pm-9pm

Read how TFN Live was a game-changer for three nonprofits that raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars to help them make the world a better place.

How does TFN Live Work?

The Funding Network partners with corporations and philanthropic foundations to host a crowdfunding event, and then sets about finding grassroots nonprofits that can pitch their innovative solutions to social problems. TFN undertake due diligence on each of the nonprofit applications which are reviewed by a selection panel. Next, the leaders of the three chosen organisations receive professional pitch coaching before presenting on the night.

The event brings together change makers from nonprofits that need support, with people and businesses that have the means and inclination to make a difference. It doesn’t all end with the event though. TFN reports on the progress of all its TFN alumni through regular updates and annual impact stories so donors can see how their funds and in-kind offerings have helped change lives.
