Cancer Council NSW (CCNSW) was established in 1955 with a clear vision: a cancer-free future. We work towards this vision by conducting and funding world-class research, running prevention programs in the community, supporting people affected by cancer and advocating to ensure that governments take action. One of our five strategic priorities that helps us to achieve our vision is fundraising.

Historically, the main focus at CCNSW was campaign and direct marketing fundraising, concentrating on raising funds from mass markets. While we have seen, and continue to see, huge success through these mass fundraising methods – a steady $67 million since 2015 – the fundraising landscape was changing and CCNSW needed to adapt.

In 2016, at the ripe old age of 61, a new fundraising strategy was introduced to diversify the funding model at CCNSW, and our Corporate Partnerships team was born.
