Australia’s leading nonprofits will share the secrets to a successful donor acquisition program at the upcoming Fundraising Forum in Sydney.

The Fundraising Forum is set to feature a number of world-class sessions focusing on the leading thinking, practice and evidence around best practice donor acquisition – a perennial challenge for fundraising professionals.

The conference will be held at Sydney’s Sofitel Wentworth on 21-23 August, with a super-earlybird discount available to F&P subscribers who register and pay for the conference and masterclasses before June 26, saving up to $1,219 off the regular price.

Coby Hailes, Direct Marketing Manager at the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF), will outline the key aspects of how her organisation executes its digital lead acquisition program, which now recruits more than half of the organisation’s approximately 8,300 new regular givers each year.

The program is achieving a cost per acquisition almost half that of ACF’s face-to-face program, and retention rates are also significantly better for digitally acquired leads.

Hailes will outline the key aspects of how the program is executed including its social media promotion; the importance of video; an automated digital warming journey; lead re-engagement success; the value of API integration with their telemarketing partner; key results, benchmarks and more.

Also at the conference, Viren D’Souza, the Fundraising Manager at Australia for UNHCR, will explain how his organisation manages its in-house and outsourced F2F programs, which recruits around 12,000 regular givers annually.
