Applications are now open for the Lumin incubation program to build not-for-profits’ communications skills.

Lumin Incubation Labs offer access to communications experts valued at $10,000.

Lumin, the online learning platform for the social change sector that builds their marketing, fundraising, social media and communications capacity, has launched Lumin Incubation Labs.

Over the course of a six month incubation period this year, Lumin Labs will build the communications knowledge and capacity of a chosen not-for-profit.

The chosen organisation will receive training, consultation and support from Lumin and the agency behind it, Think HQ, worth $10,000.

The NFP will gain full access to the Lab’s communications experts, and the skills and insights needed to embed communications permanently within their organisations practice.

“We’re super excited to be launching Lumin Labs. Communications, marketing and fundraising are such vital skills for players in the not-for-profit sector, and we built Lumin to aid in embedding them into their core business,” says founder Jen Sharpe.

“Lumin Incubation Labs is a natural extension of that. We’re seeking an initial partner to take through the program in 2019, and we know this is the start of something much bigger.”

“Our mission is to provide the social change sector with sustainability, unlocked through the ability to tell their story, engage supporters and secure funding.”

Applications for Lumin Incubation Labs are open until Wednesday 13 March.

Lumin celebrates its one-year anniversary in March, with more than 60 customers using the platform. Early adopters have included local councils, disability service providers, peak bodies, grassroots community organisations and philanthropists themselves.
