Anna Donaldson and Sophie Weldon receive a $10,000 prize from ANZ to kick start their intergenerational venture.

ANZ and the Nexus Australia Youth Summit recently announced Lively + StoryPod as the recipient of the 2016 Nexus Australia Innovator of the Year Award.

Combining StoryPod’s story gathering and engagement tools with Lively’s technology help model, the duo will pilot an intergenerational program that employs young job-seekers to work and connect with older people in aged care environments.

With the intention of forging meaningful intergenerational connections, the program is designed to be mutually beneficial for both younger and older participants, by facilitating the recording of life stories and learning from wisdom and experiences, as well as helping participants use the internet and technology to connect with friends, family and their interests.

ANZ has supported the Innovator of the Year Award since its inception in 2013.
