CHANGE OF GUARD AT FRRR



June marked the end of an era for the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, when inaugural Chairman Ian Sinclair and founding board member Bill Kelty retired.

FRRR is Australia’s only national philanthropic foundation dedicated to rural and regional Australia. In FY 2017/18, FRRR awarded $7.2 million via 673 grants.

Tim Fairfax AC will take up the role of FRRR's Chairman from January 2020. In the interim, FRRR's Deputy Chairman Annie Grindrod will act in the role.

A barrister, grazier, politician and philanthropist, Sinclair was the longest-serving member for New England, representing the NSW federal seat for 35 years. Sinclair served under six prime ministers and spent 20 years as the National Party’s deputy or leader. He became the inaugural Chairman of FRRR in 2000.
