Grant:  The Ian Potter Cultural Trust Grants – Round 3 2022

Areas of support: To assist emerging and early career artists of exceptional talent to take up professional development opportunities, usually overseas. Applicants must demonstrate both initiative and exceptional talent, together with an ability to convert their ambitions to reality. The Trust primarily provides support for structured professional development overseas such as: Residencies; Mentorships; Study tours which have a clear skills development focus; Private lessons; Internships; Workshops; Conferences and festivals. Aside from international professional development programs, the Trust may also consider supporting postgraduate study with a focus on professional development and artistic practice where no equivalent exists in Australia; The purchase of non-standard musical instruments or equipment; Costs of film-making for final year or post-grad film students.

Grant:  ASRC Refugee Capability Building Grants Program – Enablement Grant

Areas of support: Provide small value grants to new and existing small refugee-led organisations to support them to build efficient systems, processes, leadership and governance. Stream outcomes: RLOs build new and further develop existing skills in key areas that will enable them to thrive and grow; RLOs have access to the software and systems that will enable them to thrive and grow; RLOs have access to leadership training and development that will enable them to thrive and grow; RLOs can organise community events and festivals to engage more closely with their respective communities; RLOs have access to contractors/consultants developing monitoring & evaluation (M&E) policy, organisational development, and governance framework.

Grant:  Tasmanian Men’s Shed Association Grants Program – Round 10, 2022-23

Areas of support: The program supports capacity building and the sustainable development of Men’s Sheds in Tasmania. Two categories: Category 1: up to $6,000 for tools, equipment, men’s health and wellbeing initiatives, member training and community initiatives; Category 2: up to $20,000 for capital works.

Grant:  Besen Family Foundation – Round 1, 2022/2023 – Arts and Culture

Areas of support: Arts and Culture grants aim to nurture the creative talents of Victorians, and support projects in both performing and visual arts. There is a focus on: innovation, education, audience development, the arts as a vehicle for building a sense of community, extension of cultural opportunities to regional centres; community cultural development.

Areas of support: Supporting the purchase of equipment, supplies or technology that will promote all access and inclusivity in the community for children aged 0-17 years from financial disadvantage, geographic isolation and/or living with a disability or chronic illness.

Grant value: Up to $35,000

Areas of support: Supporting projects and organisations that promote innovation in environmental education, facilitate engagement in environmental action, advocate for environmental sustainability and foster collaboration between young people engaged in environmental leadership.

Grant value: Generally up to $5,000; up to $10,000 may be awarded in exceptional circumstances.

Grant:  Flora & Frank Leith Charitable Trust VIC

Areas of support: Funding for programs that make a cost effective, demonstrable and sustainable difference for the better in the quality of life and access to opportunities for our targeted children, youth and families. This year the Trustees intend to give some preference to services that intervene early to prevent or reduce problems for disadvantaged children and their families.
Application deadline:  30 September 2022
Grant value: Previous grants: $6,000 – $290,000. Most grants: $10,000 – $30,000

Areas of support: The Foundation currently has three priority areas of focus: Community based organisations with projects supporting primary producers facing hardship; Programs addressing literacy and numeracy issues amongst primary school aged children, especially remedial programs for children from disadvantaged areas; Medical research to benefit the Australian community.
