Areas of support: Project Grants provide major funding for high-quality arts projects benefitting regional or remote artists, arts workers, audiences and communities. The focus of the project could include any area of creative practice, multiple art forms or cross-disciplinary practice.

Grant:  Creative Koori – Arts and Cultural Projects Round 1, 2021/22

Areas of support: To build support for a strong, resilient and exciting Aboriginal arts and cultural sector for NSW. This will be done by embracing the principles of Aboriginal self-determination and putting Aboriginal artists, organisations and communities at the centre of funded cultural and creative activity.

Application deadline: 18 August 2021

Grant value: Up to $60,000

Grant:  Variety Western Australia Grants

Areas of support: Assistance is available for Western Australian children aged up to 18 years of age, who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs. Variety also supports schools, community groups or other organisations that help kids in need, but preference is given to individual applications. Funding may be requested for: Mobility equipment; Bike/Trike; Home modifications; Vehicle modifications / already modified vehicle; Medical equipment; Sensory equipment; Assistive technology; Sunshine Coaches (organisation specific); Play equipment; Resources.

Grant:  Women and Change Grant Round (EOIs)

Areas of support: Funding for a project that will support those people in the community who are most disadvantaged. A project that delivers sustainable change, positive social outcomes for Queenslanders living in disadvantage, is well defined, and identifies a specific community need; particularly interested in new initiatives. 

Application deadline: 27 August 2021for EOI. Shortlisted applicants will then be notified to submit a full application.

Grant value: One grant of up to $50,000

Grant:  Smartgroup Foundation Grants 

Areas of support: Smartgroup is committed to positively contributing to the communities in which they live and operate. The Foundation has a focus on projects which support: Animal welfare; Children’s illnesses and disabilities; Mental illness; Children and families at risk; Cancer; Environment.  

Application deadline: 30 August 2021

Grant value:  Between $5,000 and $15,000

Grant:  Humpty Dumpty Foundation Equipment Funding 

Areas of support:  Life-saving equipment for neonatal, maternity, paediatric and emergency paediatric units of Australian hospitals. Includes items such as specific medical equipment and items to improve the healing environment in medical settings. Areas such as education and training are also supported. 

Application deadline: 1 September 2021

Grant value:  Average grant $13,000. Have funded over $40,000 in the past.

Grant:  Lesbians Inc Australia Community Grants Program Round 2 2021 

Areas of support: Support of projects that: meet an identified social, cultural, educational, health, welfare, recreational, personal development or legal need of the lesbian community; target discrimination against lesbians and/or aim to improve the civil rights and/or status of lesbians within the general community; aim to improve the access of lesbians to programs, services, activities and opportunities available to the general community; aim to increase the vocational training and/or employment opportunities of lesbians. 

Application deadline: 1 September 2021

Grant value: Up to $1,000

Grant:  ConnectGroups – Pay It Forward Grants 2021

Areas of support: The objective of Pay it Forward Plan is to be a mental health early intervention or prevention initiative to: Empower peer Support Groups to achieve positive mental health outcomes for their members; Contribute to the prevention of mental distress and/or illness, and the recovery of mental health for peer Support Group members, families and/or carers; Further peer Support Groups’ mental health supports to their members; Promote good mental health; Encourage peer Support Groups’ mission, governance, and sustainability. 

Application deadline: 2 September 2021

Grant value: Up to $15,000
