School for Life Foundation has enjoyed a successful Christmas appeal, with a generous donor matching gifts to its appeal, reports Greg Johnson.

School for Life Foundation, which provides education to children in rural and disadvantaged parts of Uganda, enjoyed a successful Christmas appeal thanks to a matched gift. A generous, though anonymous, donor matched $30,000 to its December appeal.

The donor matched the entire $30,000 in cash donations to the appeal, which took its total fundraising to $95,000.

Some $35,000 was raised for the appeal through the purchase of different items from its online shop. Items purchased through the online catalogue, which is similar to Oxfam’s Unwrapped online store, include piglets, goats, cows, student educational materials, teaching resources and sporting equipment.
