Legacy Futures has made exciting mentoring opportunities available in the Australia and NZ legacy fundraising space. Could you snag one of them?

Two awards offer the opportunity for three fundraisers and one innovative organisation to change the game in their gift in wills and in-memory programs, and they have just been made available to those of you in Australia and New Zealand.

Legacy Futures are a UK-based agency with global reach, working with charities around the world to transform and grow their legacy programs. As part of their work, the agency is committed to building capacity and skills amongst fundraisers and on 10 January 2022, they announced their second Legacy Futures Awards programme, which offers bursary awards to celebrate and nurture talent in the legacy and in-memory sector.

The great news? Two of the bursary awards are now open to those of us in the Southern Hemisphere.

The awards will recognise and reward six winners across three categories:

  • The Crispin Ellison Bursary Award for excellence in legacy administration (open to UK applicants only).
  • The Innovation Award for those who can demonstrate they intend to innovate a new idea or solve a problem that will benefit the wider gifts in wills or in-memory sector.
  • The Future Leaders Award for fundraisers who are new to a gift in wills or in-memory role and would benefit from a free 6-month mentoring programme with the Legacy Futures team.

The latter two awards are both open to applicants from the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand. Further information and application forms can be found here

Applications must be received by 17:00 GMT on 31 March 2022. Good luck!
