Janie Alcock dreamt of a platform that would deliver a seamless donation experience for donors and fundraisers. Then she went out and helped build one.

For the third night in a row I was up late watching movies while updating our online donation forms. Clearly I needed a better system you may think. Sadly, this was the new one!

As comms & fundraising manager I took our NFP through a brand refresh including building a totally new website. It was shaped by our supporter journeys and designed to share our story clearly, make it easy to donate and capture data wherever possible. It was extremely well received and engagement increased dramatically.

I was pleased that our database provider said our new website could also be linked to our database eliminating manual processing. This meant the website donation pages needed to be created on their website. The good thing was that we could brand the donation pages and replicate the navigation so they would feel integrated within our website. As our charity sent volunteers overseas and supported many projects, we had over 150 funds and each of them needed…
