GoFundraise has made digital fundraising easier and more accessible by releasing a free mobile first fundraising portal for all charities on the platform. Fundraising portals have previously cost $2,000 plus.
Introducing the new free branded fundraising portal! In two clicks, nonprofits can update the colours on their portal to exactly match their organisation’s branding using the easy colour-matching editor. Nonprofits can then drive their supporters to make a bigger difference for their cause. This is an exciting update to the existing GoFundraise Cause Page.
A fundraiser is worth 10 donors (over $700 on average), plus they help to grow a supporter base, with each fundraiser bringing approximately a dozen new donors to a cause.
Previously it took a lot of effort and thousands of dollars to create a fundraising portal. As part of GoFundraise’s commitment to the sector, all nonprofits on the platform can now take advantage of this for no additional cost.
What is it?
A fundraising portal is a microsite which allows an organisation to easily communicate the opportunity to fundraise. Fundraising portals combine all three pillars of digital fundraising: signature, DIY and third party.
In keeping with GoFundraise’s focus on mobile, the design is completely mobile responsive and was developed with a mobile first approach.
The proven success of a GoFundraise fundraising portal:
- the average fundraising page created through a portal raises $1,330.67 (significantly higher than the $700 platform average)
- when the McGrath Foundation linked its portal to a Fundraise now button it had a 30% increase in the number of pages created
- when the Melanoma Institute Australia linked its portal to a Start fundraising button it saw a 18% increase in funds raised.
GoFundraise CEO and Co-founder Stuart Finlayson says, “Fundraising portals have previously only been available to organisations with larger digital fundraising budgets. We are passionate about bringing market-leading and innovative technology to all charities regardless of their size and we’ve been able to do that with our new fundraising portal solution.”
For organisations wanting to completely customise their portal, white label custom portals are still available.
The new ready to go portal has now been released for every charity on the GoFundraise platform.
