$50,000 up for grabs for small organisations

BankSA Foundation is calling on small organisations dedicated to making a big impact in the community to apply for funding grants of up to $50,000 each, with applications now open. Foundation grants will be awarded to eligible community organisations that provide a brighter future for disadvantaged people.

BankSANick Reade CEO of BankSA said in its 75 years BankSA Foundation has donated close to $9 million to local organisations, including over $180,000 in grants this year alone.

To be eligible for a grant, an organisation must:

  • Be located and focus its efforts in South Australia or Northern Territory.
  • Have a gross annual revenue of less than $5 million.
  • Receive less than 60% of its income from recurrent state, federal or local government funding (unless it receives an income less than $1 million per annum, in which case government funding can exceed 60%).
  • Be endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (but not another ancillary fund).  Deductible Gift Recipients must be listed with the Australian Taxation Office under Item 1 of the Table in Section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act, 1936.

Applications close 29 September 2017.
